Mark Dotson graduated from The Seattle School of Psychology and Theology with a M.A., in Counseling Psychology in 2003 and began his therapy practice the same year.  During the 2004/05 school year he interned at Western Washington University in the Counseling Center, gaining practical experience with college students, and valuable training with the therapy staff.  In 2007 he became a Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor and opened his current office in Fairhaven.   Mark began additional training in 2012 in the area of couple’s therapy, pursuing certification at The Gottman Institute, and in 2014 received additional training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples.  Besides working with couples, Mark’s clients include college students, adults, and couples.  His approach is interpersonal and relational, using solution-focused strategies to help them work through a wide variety of challenges and accomplish their therapeutic goals.
